Who can take part

  • You are a healthy volunteer aged 18–65, or a person with COPD aged 35–80, or a person with nasal polyps aged 18–80.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be between 18 and 32 for healthy volunteers, or between 16 and 35 for patients, and your weight must be under 120 kg (healthy) or 125 kg (patients).
  • You must not smoke more than 5 cigarettes a day, or be a non-smoker or ex-smoker.
  • You must avoid alcohol for 24 hours before each study visit and use effective contraception if you or your partner could become pregnant.
  • You must not have serious health issues like HIV, hepatitis, cancer, autoimmune diseases, or significant heart, lung, liver, or kidney problems.
  • If you have COPD, your lung function test must show a specific ratio below 0.70 after using a bronchodilator.
