Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with COPD based on the 2021 GOLD criteria.
  • Your lung function test shows a specific ratio (FEV1/FVC) below 70% after using a bronchodilator.
  • Your ability to transfer carbon monoxide in your lungs (DLCO) is between 20% and 80% of what is expected for someone your age and size.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy within the next year (for men, not planning for your partner to become pregnant).
  • You do not have active syphilis, HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C.
  • You have no current or past history of cancer (except certain skin cancers).
