Who can take part

  • Age 18 or older
  • A lung nodule smaller than 5 cm located in the outer part of the lung
  • The nodule can be reached with a special ultrasound scope (pEBUS)
  • You and your doctor decide to use pEBUS for diagnosis
  • Not using special navigation tools like electromagnetic or robotic bronchoscopy
  • No enlarged or suspicious lymph nodes that would need a different type of ultrasound sampling
  • No medical conditions that make biopsy unsafe (like uncontrolled bleeding)
  • Not pregnant
