Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You are scheduled for heart surgery that will use a heart-lung machine, and the surgery date is at least 2 days after your anesthesia consultation
- You have a physical status of II or higher according to the ASA classification (a standard measure of health before surgery)
- You are covered by the French national health insurance system
- You can give written permission to take part in the study
- You do not have conditions that prevent using an arm artery (like poor hand circulation) or a leg artery (like prior groin surgery or blockages)
