Who can take part

  • You had a stroke (either a clot or bleeding in the brain) within the last 6 months, or your last stroke was more than 6 months ago.
  • You are between 18 and 85 years old.
  • You can walk with some help, but still have moderate balance problems (Berg Balance Scale score over 40).
  • You do not have serious confusion or memory loss (MMSE score 15 or higher).
  • You do not have open wounds, active infections, severe epilepsy, or other major illnesses that would make water therapy unsafe.
