Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years old or older.
  • You must be able to take care of yourself most of the day (ECOG score 0 to 2).
  • You must have fluid around the lungs caused by cancer (malignant pleural effusion).
  • You must have at least one tumor that can be seen and measured on scans.
  • You must not have had another cancer in the last 5 years.
  • You must not have serious medical problems like uncontrolled heart disease or ongoing diarrhea.
