Silibinin plus standard treatment for newly diagnosed glioblastoma

Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must have been recently diagnosed with glioblastoma, a type of brain tumor, and your tumor must test positive for a protein called STAT3.
  • You should start treatment with radiation and chemotherapy within 7 weeks after surgery, and your tumor must not have progressed after surgery.
  • You must have good overall health (able to care for yourself and be up and about more than 50% of the time).
  • Your blood counts, liver and kidney function must be within certain safe ranges before starting treatment.
  • You cannot have any other active cancer or serious health problems that would interfere with the study.
