Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with a type of brain tumor called glioblastoma.
  • You must be able to care for yourself with only occasional help (Karnofsky score 70% or higher).
  • Your liver, kidneys, and bone marrow must be working well, as shown by blood tests.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breast-feeding, and must use effective birth control if applicable.
  • You have not had any other cancer in the last 3 years, except for certain skin or early-stage cancers that have been fully treated.
  • You are not currently taking other cancer treatments or blood thinners like warfarin.
