Who can take part
- You are alert and able to stay awake during tests.
- This is your first stroke (caused by a clot or bleeding in one area of the brain).
- You have no more than two tiny old silent strokes (smaller than 1.5 cm) on your MRI.
- You have clear symptoms like vision, attention, memory, movement, or language problems that match the stroke location on your MRI.
- You do not have a history of prior strokes, multiple stroke spots, or other serious brain or mental conditions.
