Who can take part

  • Your first stroke must have affected the middle cerebral artery (a main brain artery).
  • The stroke happened 7 to 30 days ago and can be either ischemic (blockage) or hemorrhagic (bleeding).
  • You have weakness or paralysis in one arm.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You (or a family member or caregiver) can give permission to join the study.
