Who can take part

  • Your baby was born between 22 and 31 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy.
  • Your baby is in the NICU and needs imaging of their lungs for breathing problems.
  • A parent or guardian can give written permission for the baby to join.
  • Your baby does NOT need X-rays only for checking tube or line placement.
  • Your baby does NOT need X-rays only for non-lung reasons (like checking the heart).
  • Your baby is stable enough for ultrasound and their skin can tolerate the ultrasound gel.
