Who can take part
- Age 18 to 80 years old
- Spinal cord injury confirmed by CT or MRI, and the spinal shock phase is over
- You have trouble urinating on your own, with more than 300 mL of urine left in your bladder after trying
- A urine pressure test shows that the muscle that holds urine in is too tight (over 50 cmH2O)
- No tumors or enlarged prostate (for men), and no bladder or urethra surgery beforehand
- You are not currently using a urinary catheter and have had it removed
