  • You have a growth or lesion in your colon or rectum
  • The images taken during your scope are clear and good quality
  • You do not have inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's or ulcerative colitis)
  • You do not have familial adenomatous polyposis (a condition that causes many polyps)
  • You do not have a submucosal tumor (a growth under the lining of the colon)
  • Your growth is not a Peutz-Jeghers polyp, juvenile polyp, or lymphoma
