Who can take part
- You have type 2 diabetes and your A1C (average blood sugar over 3 months) is between 6.5% and 10%.
- You are between 18 and 85 years old.
- You are overweight or obese, with a BMI over 25.
- Your kidney function (eGFR) is in the range of 60 to 90, and you have no significant protein in your urine.
- You are not currently taking an SGLT2 inhibitor or GLP-1 receptor agonist, and you can stop taking NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) if needed.
