Who can take part

  • You must have type 2 diabetes.
  • You are between 30 and 75 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 21 and 45.
  • Your HbA1c (average blood sugar over 3 months) is between 7.0% and 11%.
  • Your kidney function is good (eGFR above 60).
  • You are not currently taking insulin or thiazolidinediones (TZDs).
