Who can take part
- Your child has symptoms of sleep-disordered breathing, like snoring, with a total score of 6 or higher on a children's sleep habits questionnaire.
- Snoring has been recorded for at least 5 nights in a row using a snoring app like SnoreLab.
- Your child has a narrow upper jaw (at least 5 mm difference from normal), with a normal distance between the molars of at least 40 mm.
- Your child has not had previous treatment for sleep apnea (like tonsil or adenoid removal) or any jaw or face surgery.
- Your child is not overweight or obese (body mass index below the 85th percentile for their age and sex).
- Your child has no serious long-term conditions (like heart, lung, or nerve problems) unrelated to breathing, no facial abnormalities, no cavities, and no previous orthodontic treatment.
