Who can take part

  • Be between 8 and 14 years old
  • Have a specific bite/jaw pattern called skeletal Class II division 1
  • Have a narrow upper jaw (maxillary constriction)
  • Have no known genetic/syndromic condition affecting the face or jaw
  • Have not had orthodontic treatment before
  • Be able and willing to follow the study plan, with good oral health (few/no cavities and good hygiene)
