Who can take part

  • You are between 22 and 42 years old.
  • You have a deep cavity on the side of a back tooth that needs a filling.
  • The tooth is still alive (reacts to cold) and has no signs of infection.
  • You have not had any prior fillings on that tooth.
  • You are generally healthy, not pregnant, and don't take regular pain medication.
  • You can come for follow-up visits over 2 years.
