- Your child is between 1 and 11 years old.
- Your child is scheduled for surgery with general anesthesia.
- Your child is healthy or has only mild health problems (classified as ASA I or II).
- Your child will use either a breathing tube through the mouth or a laryngeal mask airway during surgery.
- Your child has no history of brain surgery, seizures, or conditions that increase brain pressure.
