This study tests a new laser (called TENEO 317 Model 2) for vision correction. If you're already scheduled for LASIK to fix nearsightedness or farsightedness (with or without astigmatism), you may be eligible. The study checks if this new laser is safe and works well.

Who can take part

  • You have already decided to have laser vision correction on both eyes to aim for perfect distance vision.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • Your vision prescription has been stable (no big changes) for at least a year.
  • You are willing to stop wearing contact lenses before the pre-op exam (soft lenses: 3 days, hard lenses: 2 weeks).
  • You do not have serious eye conditions like keratoconus, corneal scars, glaucoma, or retinal disease.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking certain medications (like Accutane or Cordarone).
