NCT07030933Not yet recruiting· Phase 4
Amino acid infusion during heart surgery

This trial tests if giving amino acids during heart surgery can protect the kidneys. If you are having planned heart surgery with a heart-lung machine and have reasonably good kidney function, you may be able to join.

NCT07212595Recruiting· Phase 2
Amino acid therapy to protect kidneys after heart surgery in children

This trial is testing whether giving amino acids after heart surgery can help prevent kidney injury in children at high risk. If it works, it could offer a simple way to protect kidney function during recovery.

NCT07718373Not yet recruiting
L-arginine for kidney protection after heart surgery

This trial tests whether giving L-arginine (a natural amino acid) soon after heart surgery can help protect your kidneys. It is for adults who had heart surgery with a heart-lung machine and did not have kidney problems before surgery.

NCT05879432Recruiting· Phase 2
Peptide treatment to prevent or lessen kidney injury after heart surgery

This Phase 2 trial tests an LSALT peptide given around the time of “on-pump” heart surgery to help prevent or reduce acute kidney injury (a sudden drop in kidney function). It may help people who are at higher risk for kidney injury during or after surgery.

NCT07625553Recruiting· Phase 2
Relaxin Agonist to Protect Kidneys During Heart Surgery

This study tests whether a drug called R2R01 can help protect your kidneys during major heart surgery. Heart surgery can sometimes damage the kidneys, and this trial is looking to see if this new medication reduces that risk.

Amino acids for people on ECMO in the ICU

This study tests whether giving amino acids (proteins that help your body heal) through a vein can help people on ECMO recover faster. It's for adults in the ICU who've just started ECMO and don't have severe kidney problems.
