This trial is testing a new type of PET scan that uses a radioactive tracer called 68Ga-PentixaFor to see if it can better detect metastatic small cell lung cancer compared to standard scans. You may be eligible if you have newly diagnosed, untreated metastatic small cell lung cancer and are about to start your first treatment.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with small cell lung cancer that has spread and has not been treated yet.
  • You are at least 18 years old and willing to use contraception for 3 months after the scan.
  • You have a performance status score of 0 or 1 (able to do most daily activities).
  • You have at least one measurable tumor that has spread, seen on a previous scan.
  • You have a life expectancy of more than 3 months.
  • You can lie still for about an hour for the scan.
