Comparing exercise types for health in overweight young adults

This study compares two types of exercise programs (HICT and MICT) to see which is better for health in overweight young adults who don't currently exercise. You would join a 12-week program and help researchers learn which workout plan works best.

Who can take part

  • You are overweight, with a BMI between 23 and 24.9
  • You have been physically inactive for the last 6 months (less than 150 minutes of moderate or 75 minutes of vigorous activity per week)
  • You are willing to commit to a 12-week exercise program
  • You agree not to join any other exercise program during the study
  • You do not smoke
  • You do not have any medical conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, high cholesterol, or epilepsy, and you have not had any muscle or joint injuries from exercise in the last year
