Brain activity and typing after watching and doing

Young Adults

This study looks at how watching someone type and then typing yourself affects brain activity and typing speed. If you are a right-handed (or adaptable left-handed) healthy university student who already types with all ten fingers, you may help researchers learn more about how the brain controls skilled movements like typing.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 26 years old.
  • You are a healthy university student (no known brain, nerve, or muscle conditions).
  • You can type using all ten fingers (touch typing), and you type at least 16 words per minute.
  • You do not have epilepsy, seizures, metal implants in your head or upper body, and you are not taking medications that affect your brain.
  • If you are left-handed, you must use a standard typing method or be okay with adapted materials.
