Gut bacteria transplant for fast-progressing ALS

Who can take part

  • You have a definite ALS diagnosis, and your disease is progressing quickly (a drop of 1.5 or more points per month on the ALSFRS-R scale).
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • Your ALS symptoms are moderate (ALSFRS-R score of 24 or higher), and you can swallow capsules.
  • You have been on a stable dose of riluzole, edaravone, or tofersen for at least 30 days, or you are not taking any of these and don't plan to during the study.
  • You have not taken antibiotics in the last 3 months, probiotics or herbal supplements in the last 2 weeks, or any other investigational drug in the last 30 days.
  • You are not pregnant, and if sexually active, you agree to use contraception.
