Who can take part
- You must have a solid tumor that your doctor plans to treat with cisplatin or carboplatin chemotherapy.
- You must be expected to live at least 4 months and be well enough to perform daily activities (ECOG score 0-2).
- You cannot have had a kidney removed or a kidney transplant.
- You cannot have poorly controlled diabetes (type 1, or type 2 with high blood sugar levels).
- Your kidney function must be relatively good (eGFR above 20) and you cannot have certain other kidney problems.
