Study of a single tool for prostate surgery using laser or bipolar energy

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate (BPH) that needs surgery.
  • Your prostate is at least 40 cubic centimeters (about the size of a golf ball or larger).
  • You have never had prostate cancer.
  • You do not have a current bladder or urinary tract infection.
  • You have not had any prior surgery on your prostate.
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder and are not taking blood thinners.
  • You do not have a narrowing of the urethra or other unusual anatomy that would make the surgery difficult.
