A study of the Beacon platform for laser prostate surgery

Who can take part

  • You must be male and at least 45 years old.
  • You need to have urinary symptoms or trouble emptying your bladder because of an enlarged prostate.
  • Your prostate must be between 30 and 120 cc, based on a recent scan (ultrasound, MRI, or CT).
  • You should not have had previous prostate surgery, such as TURP, laser treatment, or a prostate lift.
  • You must be able to stop blood thinners (except low-dose aspirin) for a few days before the procedure.
  • You must not have prostate or bladder cancer, and your BMI should be 35 or less.
