Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome by a doctor using standard guidelines.
- Your muscle weakness from GBS started within the last 10 days.
- Your weakness is severe enough that you need help walking, cannot walk, or are in the intensive care unit (disability scores 3, 4, or 5).
- You have not already received or are not planning to receive plasma exchange or IV immunoglobulin for treating this GBS episode.
- You do not have a less common GBS variant like Miller Fisher syndrome.
