Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You needed a breathing machine (ventilator) or strong blood pressure medication for more than 24 hours while in the ICU.
- Your doctor says you are ready to leave the ICU soon.
- You have a blood test showing either a certain level of a heart stress marker (NT-proBNP over 800 or BNP over 90) or your kidney function (eGFR) is between 25 and 90.
- You are not pregnant, not breastfeeding, and if you could become pregnant, you agree to use highly effective birth control during the study.
