Who can take part

  • You are pregnant with only one baby.
  • Your baby is positioned head-down (cephalic).
  • You are at least 37 weeks pregnant (full term).
  • Your baby's heart rate during labor shows signs that need further testing, like a fetal blood sample (FBS).
  • You do not have any conditions that make a scalp blood test risky, such as HIV, hepatitis, or a bleeding disorder.
