Who can take part
- You have a type of bile duct cancer (intrahepatic or extrahepatic), but not gallbladder cancer
- Your cancer is advanced and cannot be removed by surgery, or has spread to other parts of your body
- You have not had any systemic anti-cancer treatment before, except for capecitabine after surgery if finished at least 6 months ago
- You are at least 18 years old
- Your overall health is good enough to be up and about (ECOG performance status 0 or 1)
