Who can take part

  • You are a woman between 18 and 70 years old.
  • Your breast cancer is new, in one breast only, and the main tumor is 5 cm or smaller (or just DCIS).
  • The tumor hasn't spread to the nipple, skin, chest wall, or armpit lymph nodes.
  • You're having a nipple-sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction (implant, mesh, and some fat grafting).
  • You don't currently smoke and haven't had previous breast implants or fat injections.
