Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 75 years old.
  • You have head and neck cancer that is advanced and has a large tumor (over 5 cm) in the neck or throat that surgery can't remove.
  • You have not had any prior cancer treatment.
  • You can take care of yourself (ECOG score 0 or 1) and are expected to live at least 3 months.
  • You have adequate organ function (kidney, liver, blood counts) as confirmed by blood tests.
  • You are willing to use effective birth control if you or your partner could become pregnant.
