Who can take part

  • You have HER2-positive invasive breast cancer that has not spread to other parts of the body (stage T2-4, any N, M0 or any T, N1-3, M0).
  • You have not received any prior cancer treatment for this breast cancer, including chemotherapy, radiation, or targeted therapy.
  • You are well enough to undergo surgery and have an ECOG performance status of 0 or 1 (fully active or able to carry on all predisease activities without restriction).
  • Your major organs (heart, liver, kidneys, blood) are functioning adequately as shown by blood tests.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you agree to use effective contraception during the study and for 6 months after.
  • You have no history of other cancers in the past 5 years, no active infections, no bleeding disorders, and no history of blood clots within the last 6 months.
