Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and having your first chest surgery at University Hospital Basel.
  • You can understand verbal and written German or French.
  • You or a family member living with you has a smartphone or computer and an email address to answer digital questions.
  • You stay in the hospital for at least 3 nights after surgery.
  • You are discharged home after surgery.
  • You are not currently taking opioid or cortisone medicine before surgery.
