Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) of 24 or higher (overweight or obese).
  • Your fasting triglyceride levels are between 1.7 and 5.7 mmol/L on two separate tests.
  • You have at least one plaque in your carotid artery (confirmed by ultrasound).
  • You are willing to follow lifestyle advice and stay on a stable routine during the study.
