Who can take part
- Your neck pain started at least 3 months ago but less than 10 years ago
- You have neck pain with or without stiffness or nerve symptoms like numbness or weakness
- Your average pain in the past week has been at least 4 out of 10 (0 is no pain, 10 is worst)
- Your neck pain limits daily activities moderately or more (score over 28% on a neck disability questionnaire)
- You do not have any metal or electronic implants near your ear or neck, or a pacemaker
- You are not taking beta-blocker medications
