Optimal meals to reduce bone loss in women with thinning bones
Part of Bones, joints & muscles, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.

This study compares eating calcium-rich foods with taking calcium pills to see which better supports bone health. It lasts 4 weeks and may help people concerned about osteoporosis or fractures.
This study tests whether a medication called veverimer can help reduce bone loss in adults with osteopenia (early bone thinning) by lowering the acid load from their diet. Participants must be 50 or older, eat a typical Western diet, and have low bone density but not full osteoporosis.
This trial tests whether regular physical activity can help maintain bone density in women. It may be a good fit if you are a woman without a diagnosis of osteoporosis.
This study compares two treatments for osteoporosis in postmenopausal women: a sequence of romosozumab followed by denosumab versus zoledronic acid alone. The goal is to see which approach better improves bone density in the hip. Participants will receive either the combination or the single drug for a period, and their progress will be monitored.
This trial studies a preventive treatment for people over 55 who have early bone thinning (called osteopenia). If you qualify, it may help reduce the risk of getting osteoporosis and related fractures.
This trial compares dairy and plant-based drinks to see which is better for bone health when you also do resistance training. If you are a postmenopausal woman or a man 50 or older, you may join to help find out which drink helps bones most.
