Pregnancy, Baby Brain Scans, and Child Development Study

This study looks at how a mother's health and experiences during pregnancy may affect her baby's brain growth and early development. You and your baby would have special MRI brain scans, fill out some questionnaires, and then your child's development would be followed until they are 6 years old.

Who can take part

  • You are pregnant with one baby and are at least 18 years old.
  • You are between 24 and 35 weeks pregnant at the time of the first MRI.
  • You are willing to have an MRI of your baby's brain during pregnancy and/or after birth.
  • You can fill out questionnaires about your health, lifestyle, and emotions during pregnancy.
  • You agree to bring your child for regular check-ups to monitor their development from birth until age 6.
  • There are no known problems with your baby's brain structure or development.
