This study compares three ways to give anesthesia during laparoscopic hysterectomy: one type of gas (sevoflurane) with or without a lidocaine IV drip, versus a different IV anesthesia (propofol). Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You are generally healthy or have only mild, well-controlled health issues.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or less.
  • You are scheduled to have a hysterectomy done with keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery.
  • You do not have serious eye conditions or a history of eye surgery.
  • You do not have significant brain, heart, liver, or kidney problems.
