Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have a fast heart rhythm problem called paroxysmal atrial fibrillation or supraventricular tachycardia (including AVNRT or AVRT).
  • Your heart rhythm issue has been confirmed by a test like an EKG or Holter monitor within the last year.
  • You have not had good results from at least one heart rhythm medication, or you choose to have the procedure without taking medication first.
  • You do not have a left atrial thrombus (blood clot), a heart pump function below 40%, or an active implanted device like a pacemaker.
  • You have not had a stroke or heart attack in the last 3 to 6 months, and you do not have severe liver, kidney, or bleeding disorders.
