  • You are Native Hawaiian (full or part)
  • You are 18 to 80 years old
  • You currently smoke 5 or more cigarettes each day
  • You live in one of these housing complexes: Kalihi Valley Homes, Kuhio Park Terrace, or Mayor Wright Housing
  • You are willing to quit smoking and use the study's nicotine gum, not other quitting aids
  • You can speak, read, and write English
