- You are a woman 18 years or older
- You had a cesarean section with spinal anesthesia (numbing medicine in your back)
- A complete blood count (blood test) was done before your surgery
- You do not have a blood disorder, active infection, autoimmune disease, or take immune-suppressing drugs
- Your surgery went smoothly with no problems recorded
- Your medical records are available to review after surgery
