  • You are a woman 18 years or older
  • You had a cesarean section with spinal anesthesia (numbing medicine in your back)
  • A complete blood count (blood test) was done before your surgery
  • You do not have a blood disorder, active infection, autoimmune disease, or take immune-suppressing drugs
  • Your surgery went smoothly with no problems recorded
  • Your medical records are available to review after surgery
