Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have been newly diagnosed with a type of leukemia called acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and have not yet received any anti-leukemia treatment.
- Your white blood cell count is below 25,000 at diagnosis.
- Your liver and kidneys are working well enough (based on blood tests).
- Your heart pumps at least half the blood out with each beat (ejection fraction above 50%).
- You have a relative (age 18 or older) who is a partial tissue match and is willing to donate stem cells.
