Who can take part

  • Be between 20–40 years old or 60–75 years old
  • Speak German fluently
  • Have normal or corrected vision (glasses/contacts are okay)
  • Not be colorblind
  • Be right-handed (for healthy volunteers only)
  • Be a non-smoker (for healthy volunteers only)
  • Have no history of neurological or psychiatric disorders (for healthy volunteers)
  • Have mild to moderate depression (for the patient group)
  • Not have any metal implants in your body (like pacemakers or surgical clips)
  • Not be dependent on alcohol or drugs
  • Not take benzodiazepines or antipsychotic medication (if you have depression)
