Who can take part

  • You must be at least 30 years old (or 18 for the cardiac sarcoid group).
  • You should have a diagnosis of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) or untreated cardiac sarcoidosis, or be a healthy volunteer.
  • You cannot have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or mechanical heart valve.
  • You must be able to lie flat for a PET/CT and MRI scan.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You cannot have active cancer, severe liver or kidney disease, or certain other serious conditions.
