This study tests if a digital stethoscope and a simple 3-lead ECG (heart rhythm test) can detect two heart conditions: high blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary hypertension) and low pumping strength of the heart (low ejection fraction). It's intended for adults who recently had a heart ultrasound or a heart catheterization.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are willing and able to consent to take part
  • You have had an echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) or a right heart catheterization (a tube test for heart pressures) within the last 7 days (before or after the study procedures)
  • You are not currently hospitalized (unless you are only having a right heart catheterization without a limited echo)
