Can a smart stethoscope detect pulmonary hypertension?

This study is testing if a special digital stethoscope (CORE 500) can help detect a heart condition called pulmonary hypertension. You may join if you are 18 or older, not currently hospitalized, and will have a heart ultrasound or right heart catheterization around the time of your visit.

  • You have a heart ultrasound or right heart catheter already scheduled or done within a week of your study visit.
  • You are not currently in the hospital.
  • If you qualify through the heart ultrasound, that ultrasound must be a full, diagnostic exam.
