Knee repair with donor tendon and meniscus transplant study

Meniscal TearsACL - Anterior Cruciate Ligament Rupture

This study tests a new surgical technique that uses a donor (allograft) bone-patellar tendon-bone graft to fix a torn ACL and also replaces the missing or damaged meniscus. Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 50 years old.
  • You have a torn or damaged ACL and your meniscus is not working well (called meniscal deficiency).
  • You have tried non-surgical treatments for at least 6 months without success.
  • Your knee is stable (not giving way) when tested by a doctor.
  • You have no severe arthritis, knee infection, inflammatory arthritis (like rheumatoid), gout, or large cartilage defect.
  • Your BMI is under 35, you are not pregnant or planning pregnancy, and you can have an MRI.
